Austrian Aeropress Championship 2024: A Memorable Day on the Danube

On the 27th of August 2024, the Austrian Aeropress Championship took place in a unique way: on a boat cruising along the Danube through Vienna. This extraordinary setting, along with the excitement on board, created an unforgettable day filled with tension and thrill.

Competitors were randomly split into different groups to compete in a series of smaller rounds. GOTA was represented by three talented baristas: Katharina Brun, Michael Mayer and Dominika Piotrowska. Each contestant was well prepared, but the excitement and nerves were palpable - after all, the coveted title of Austrian Aeropress Champion was at stake.

The competition became a real nerve-wracking experience, especially when Katharina Brun and Michael Mayer were pitted against each other in the semi-final. In a close match, Katharina prevailed and advanced to the final. This was the moment when her nerves were at their peak - but she remained focused and calm.

In the final Katharina showed all her skills and WON!!! :D Her win was an inspiring triumph and we all shared in the joy and pride of her well deserved victory. We couldn't be happier for her and we celebrate her new title "Austrian Aeropress Champion 2024" with all our hearts.
