The Rungeto Farmers Coop Society was established in 1953 and has around 3500 members at the currrent moment. The coffee is handpicked by the smallholder members and then delivered to the Kii factory where it is pulped to initially separate the dense beans from the floaters. After 2 stages of fermentation and the washing process the beans are soaked, which gives our KENYA that very characteristic acidity and complex fruit flavors!
